It connects to an HDMI source device, such as a computer, media server, cable box/DVR or Blu-ray player, and transmits an audio/video signal to four HDMI monitors, projectors or televisions simultaneously. You can cascade up to three levels of splitters, which expands the number of connected displays to 256.

Supports Ultra High Definition Signals Up to 11.9 m [39 ft.]
Using standard 28 AWG HDMI cabling, the B118-004-UHD Ultra HD HDMI splitter distributes a 4K x 2K audio/video signal up to 12 m [39 ft.]. Place your HDMI source up to 5 m [16.4 ft.] from the splitter and the splitter up to 7 m [23 ft.] from an HDMI display for a maximum distance of 12 m [39.4 ft.] between source and display.

Maintains 4K x 2K Video Resolutions and Rich Stereo Sound
The B118-004-UHD 1x4 HDMI splitter supports full 3D and video resolutions up to 4096 x 2160 at 30 Hz and 36-bit True Color (12 bits per channel). It also supports a wide range of audio formats, including DTS-HD, Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Digital Plus and 7.1-channel LPCM surround sound.

Works with DVI Sources and Displays Too
You can also use single-link DVI-D traditional sources and displays with the B118-004-UHD to avoid a costly upgrade to HDMI equipment. Connect DVI-D components using HDMI to DVI adapters, such as Tripp Lite's P566-Series. You will only be able to transmit video, and resolutions will be limited to those allowed by the adapter.
