Our revamped ThinkPad keyboard now includes tactile markings to help visually impaired individuals locate the correct keys. We've moved the fingerprint reader to the keyboard, resulting in a larger sensor for a better experience. To top it off, our TrackPad is larger and now measures 120 mm/4.72″. The ThinkPad X1 2-in-1 Gen 9 laptop is made with 75% recycled aluminum in the top cover, 55% recycled aluminum, and 45% hydro-aluminum in the bottom cover. As for the keyboard frame, it is made with 90% recycled magnesium in WWAN models or 75% recycled aluminum in non-WWAN models. Additionally, a large portion of this laptop's components are made from post-consumer recycled plastic (PCC), from the speaker enclosure to the power adapter, keys, and other parts. The packaging is plastic-free and partly composed of rapidly renewable materials from sugarcane fiber and bamboo.
