Eclipse is a single-line, hand-held laser scanner. Equipped with CodeGate®, Honeywell's patented technology, Eclipse can be used in a wide variety of applications. CodeGate® technology allows the user to target the chosen barcode and complete data transmission with just the push of a button. This makes Eclipse an ideal choice for menu scanning, point-of-sale document processing, and inventory control.

Thanks to Honeywell's state-of-the-art scanning technology, the Eclipse 5145 offers a greater operating range and a wider scan field than typical CCDs. The width of the scan line increases as the scanner moves away from the barcodes.

CodeSense® is a unique Eclipse feature that is very useful when infrared object detection is not possible. It provides the user with a pulsating laser line to detect barcodes. When a barcode is detected, the laser line switches to a steady state, allowing scanning via CodeGate®.
