Save time and money on installation with PoE
The Intellinet Network Solutions 8-Port Gigabit Ethernet PoE+ Web-Managed Switch is designed to transmit both data and electrical power to several PoE-compatible devices via standard Cat5e or Cat6 network cables. Equipped with eight Gigabit Ethernet ports (all of which are 802.3at/af PoE/PoE+ compatible), this switch can power wireless LAN access points and bridges, VoIP phones, IP video cameras, and more, while delivering network speeds of up to 1000 Mbps.
802.3at Power over Ethernet
The Intellinet Network Solutions 8-Port Gigabit Ethernet PoE+ Web-Managed Switch supports the IEEE 802.3at protocol and is designed to inject up to 30 watts of power per port.* IEEE802.3af- or IEEE802.3at-compliant devices plugged into the switch require no additional power, thereby eliminating the time and expense of electrical power reconfiguration and minimizing the unsightly clutter caused by power supplies and adapters in awkward places such as ceilings and walls. Any mix of PoE and non-PoE devices is supported, and thanks to its short-circuit, overload and high-voltage protection function, your equipment is well protected. For devices that are not 802.3at/af compliant (legacy wireless access points or network cameras), we suggest the use of an Intellinet Network Solutions PoE/PoE+ splitter.
Self-Healing Network with increased reliability and stability - Intellinet Powered Device Monitoring (PDM)
This Power over Ethernet switch is equipped with Powered Device Monitoring, a self-healing PoE feature. This PoE watchdog performs a liveness check of connected PDs and automatically reboots unresponsive devices such as PoE surveillance cameras by cutting and then restoring power. The PDM function is especially useful in applications where connected devices are critical to network operation, such as in industrial or surveillance environments. As an added benefit, the PD Alive function helps eliminate unnecessary tech-support calls and costly field trips by support engineers, since the functional reboot can often bring the unresponsive device back online.
Web Management
This PoE switch is equipped with an impressive array of advanced management functions that allow you to have full control over your network. The 8-Port Gigabit Ethernet PoE+ Web-Managed Switch supports VLAN, port aggregation, QoS and port mirroring, and supports SNMP V1 and the popular V2c, just to name a few.
PoE Management
The Intellinet Network Solutions 8-Port Gigabit Ethernet PoE+ Web-Managed Switch provides extensive PoE management features. The per-port delay time function reduces the power surge that typically occurs when starting up the system, and the PoE priority function (low, medium, high) lets you define mission-critical, high-priority ports that will still receive power even if the switch's power budget limit has been exceeded. Furthermore, you can define the maximum available power per port, turn PoE on and off per port and monitor the current power consumption of all connected PoE devices. Finally, the Intellinet Network Solutions switch can send SNMP trap messages to alert the administrator that the total power consumption on the switch exceeds the user-defined threshold value.
Eliminate Bottlenecks with a total of 10 Gigabit Ports
Equipped with eight auto-sensing 10/100/1000 Mbps RJ45 Gigabit Ethernet ports, this switch offers high performance for your computers, servers and other network devices. In addition, two small form-factor GBIC module (SFP) slots provide fiber connectivity for greater distances. These are not shared combo ports but true Gigabit ports, increasing the total available bandwidth up to 20 Gbps.
How our PoE scheduling saves you energy
As part of our Self-Healing Network suite, our managed switches are not only capable of providing high power but also of controlling power delivery efficiently. The “PoE scheduling” function allows you to turn PoE power on or off for each PoE port at specific time intervals. Turning off devices like IP phones and access points outside of office hours helps your company reduce its energy costs and protect the environment.
* The total PoE budget for this switch is 140 watts. The average per-port power distribution is 17.5 watts; the maximum per-port power usage cannot exceed 30 watts.
